The ITM – Međugorje IT Conference was born from Pope Francis's heartfelt call to harness technology for the service of evangelization. Organized by the Informative Center MIR Međugorje, the official media outlet of the Parish of Međugorje and the Herzegovinian Franciscan Province, the conference debuted triumphantly from March 7 to 10, 2024. It immediately showcased the authentic connection possible between cutting-edge technology and profound spirituality.

In a tech industry often dominated by commercial ventures and mainstream applications, content that genuinely speaks to the spiritual aspirations of software engineers is rare. ITM fills this void, offering a unique space for discussions, lectures, and workshops that harmoniously blend technological expertise, the power of artificial intelligence, and the essential human touch with personal spiritual growth.

The inspiring words of Pope Francis continue to guide our mission:

"We must use technology, especially the internet, without becoming slaves to it. We must avoid becoming captives of the network and instead ‘catch fish,’ that is, attract souls to the Lord."

At ITM, participants converge not only through shared professional interests but also through common moral values. Following our inaugural event, we proudly launched the ITM Community. This international network has rapidly grown to include over 50 members from more than 25 countries, spanning continents from Argentina to the USA. Our diverse membership hails from nations including Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, El Salvador, France, Germany, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, and Switzerland.
