About Us
Informative Center MIR Međugorje is the official media outlet of the Parish of Međugorje and the Herzegovinian Franciscan Province. It is dedicated to sharing the messages of Our Lady, reporting on religious events and activities related to Međugorje, and promoting Catholic values in the contemporary world. The Center operates through its radio station, websites, social media channels, media productions, publications, and event organization, with a special focus on educating and informing the faithful, providing spiritual support, and connecting faith with modern technologies.
On its YouTube channels, the Center broadcasts the evening prayer program from St. James Church live every day, simultaneously translated into nine world languages. The Center also runs the Mir Međugorje souvenir shop, located opposite the parish office, with products available online at medjugorje.store.
ITM – the Međugorje IT Conference was created in response to the Pope’s call to use technology in the service of evangelization. The conference is organized by the Informative Center MIR Međugorje, the official media outlet of the Parish of Međugorje and the Herzegovinian Franciscan Province. The first conference took place from March 7 to 10, 2024, in Međugorje and immediately demonstrated how technology and spirituality can be authentically connected.
In the IT sector, often driven by commercial projects and mainstream applications, content that addresses the deep spiritual interests of software engineers is rare. ITM provides a space for discussions, lectures, and workshops that combine technological knowledge, artificial intelligence, and the human touch with spiritual growth.
The words of the late Pope Francis still resonate with us and inspire our mission:
"We must use technology, especially the internet, without becoming slaves to it. We must avoid becoming captives of the network and instead ‘catch fish,’ that is, attract souls to the Lord."
At ITM, participants gather not only around similar professional interests but also shared moral values. The spiritual environment of Međugorje strengthens mutual connection and inspiration. Through prayer, testimonies, and mentorship, participants learn to use technology as a tool for good while remaining connected to human dignity and Christian ethics.
Following the first conference, we launched the ITM Community, an international network that today includes more than 50 members from over 25 countries (Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, El Salvador, France, Germany, UK, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, USA).
The conference creates a safe and inspiring environment for networking, dialogue, and collaborative learning, where technology is applied ethically and in alignment with human values, allowing participants to contribute their skills to projects that connect faith and technology.
